Five years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Wu's son died in a car accident while studying abroad in the US. Half a decade later, the couple re-embarks on a journey to America, where they plan to meet the organ recipient of their son. However, the wildfire in southern California disrupts their plan. Out of the blue, a young American woman decides to help the couple by driving them to Palm Springs. On their way there, the couple and the woman realize in each other what their lives have been missing. They find solace in each other's company, but their time together is fleeting. Can the transgressive love between strangers overcome their past wounds for a hopeful future?

HANNAH (20) grew up in southern california. As the second daughter of a well-to-do architect and an interior designer, she had a comfortable and colorful childhood. However, her life suddenly changed after an unexpected plane crash that took away her parents' life. HANNAH, 15 years old at the time, revolted against their death. She tries to internalized her past traumas, by forth a rebellious and carefree persona. However, what ensues were heartbreaks after heartbreaks. Now at the age of 20, she attends a local CC in Santa Barbara and studies art. She has an online t-shirt business and lives with her sister in their parent's house. HANNAH also helps her sister CELESTE with her bed and breakfast business, even though she disapproves the life that her sister is leading.
